As a 3D Animation Artist you are responsible for creating animations of (cartoon) characters, vehicles and other assets for use in pre-rendered videos and for real-time use. Sometime you will work with detailed storyboards, sometimes you need to improvise and fill in the gaps and ideally come up with solutions and suggestions to improve storytelling without compromising production. Ideally you will support the team with simple layouts as well.

We are looking for a highly motivated, results driven individual with a curious mindset and a strong ability to learn. You will be working together with talented and fun Artists and Producers in 3D & Motion Department to produce outstanding marketing materials for world-wide known brands.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Animate characters for cartoon 3D animations

• Create Poses for 3D characters

• Animate props/products

• Ability to give your own inputs and suggestions to improve storytelling

• Prepare and export animations for use in real-time engines

• Work and communicate with other artists and departments to ensure smooth delivery of projects

• Setup and animate cameras following a detailed brief or storyboard

• Support Layout Team with tasks when necessary

• For this job you will report directly to the 3D Team Lead

REQUIREMENTS 

• 1-2 years experience in the 3D industry as a 3D Animation Artist

• For Junior positions 1-2 years experience in the 3D industry with a willingness to learn is also acceptable.

• Good understanding of animation principles

• Understanding of different animation styles, especially cartoon style

• Self-driven, able to work with minimal supervision

• Experienced in Maya for the relevant field

• Team player

• At least basic English knowledge to read and understand briefs and feedback

• Relevant portfolio

NICE TO HAVE 

• Basic knowledge of layout and rigging in Maya

• Ability to edit shots in Premiere/After Effects

• Ability to create simple placeholder VFX (2D/3D) for layout and blocking stage

• Good understanding of English to be able to read client feedbacks

• Knowledge of scripting in languages like Python, Mel
